Hi there, Ram owners. Today on your 2006 Ram 1500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install K-Source's custom flip out towing mirrors.This towing mirror is going to be a direct replacement for your factory mirrors. They're going to extend out significantly further than what the factory mirror did, and that's going to give you a much better viewing angle at your trailer. One of the things that I really like them though, is that since they are a permanent install, they looked like they we're supposed to be on the truck right from the factory because they match in very nicely with the textured black plastic. And they maintain all the functionality of your factory mirrors. I can still adjust them using the switch inside my truck to get that proper tilt without even having to open my window on those cold days. more

Today on our 2018 Dodge Durango, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the CIPA 00:02:55 Universal Fit Towing Mirror, which is also sold as a set.Whenever we use a towing mirror, it's really going to help expand our field of view. That can really be useful whenever we're, maybe making a lane change, backing up into a tight parking spot, or maybe just wanting to keep a closer eye on what's happening behind us. So to give an example on how much more ground, we're going to be able to cover, as you can see, I'm visible in our tow mirror, but not in our factory mirror. However, if I take a few steps closer to our trailer, I'll disappear out of that towing mirror and become visible in our factory mirror. It's going to give you peace of mind going down the road and on top of that, keep everybody safe.So we are going to get one big mirror that comes with this kit, and it's going to be able to swivel 360 degrees around this ball in the back and also tilt right left and up and down just to accommodate for whatever you may be hauling.So we are going to be able to fold this in just as we were, if we didn't have these installed and it's going to do what we need, which is cut down on that vehicle width.So these are not going to have any straps that strap it to your mirror. It's going to clamp on right on the top edge of your factory mirror. It does have some softer bumpers on the bottom, so it's going to protect your mirrors as well. more

Here's gonna be a door mount and these are gonna be a slide on.So let's talk about our clip on mirrors first. They're gonna install the same. They're gonna clip onto your factory housing. It's gonna have a strap that comes around the back of your mirror and clips on to the top of the arm. The difference between them is this one here is gonna have a rubber foot and it's also going to ratchet, whereas this one is gonna clip on, it's just going to have a pull strap to tighten it to how you need.Now the difference between our clip on mirrors as opposed to this one is this one's gonna mount directly to the door. more

Now, if we had our mirror in the vertical position, this would be your line of sight, however, we have our mirror in the horizontal position, which is going to extend our field of view. As you can see where I'm standing here, at the corner of this trailer, it's about, approximately a lane and a half over.This is what our mirror looks like when it's installed. The bar, made out of a sturdy, steel construction. The mirror housing and the clamp are going to be constructed of a durable plastic that's going to resist UV rays and hold up to all weather conditions. more

Speaker 1: Today in our 2017 Dodge Journey, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Cipa Dual-View Clip-On Towing Mirror, part number 11953.So here I am at the back of my trailer. And you can clearly see me in the factory mirror. But if I step away, you're going to lose track of me. But that's where our towing mirror's going to come into play. Whether we're driving on the highway with a trailer and we change lanes, perhaps backing up our trailer, or even pulling up at the campground, our towing mirror's going to give us a much better field of view, and have a safer time driving down the road.The large mirror here is going to be a flat mirror giving us an accurate depiction of what's directly behind us, whereas the smaller mirror here is going to be a convex shape and it's going to be more of a built-in spot mirror.Now we're going to have full adjustment on both of the mirrors, being able to adjust them up and down, left and right, and even diagonally, to make sure that we can get that perfect angle so we can see what's behind us, making sure that we're being safe.Now our mirror's going to attach between the mirror glass and the mirror using itself with these four small tabs. Now we're also going to have a couple straps that are going to come up the backside and hook on top to secure it to our mirror.Now although our mirror's going to attach onto the housing itself, our factory mirror's not going to be affected and we're still going to be able to have full adjustment getting the perfect angle to get safely down the road.For those closer quarters situations, parking or anything like that, we still have the option of folding the mirror in without having to remove the tow mirror.The straps on the back that are going to secure it to our mirror are made of a rubber so they're not only going to give it a nice surface to grip on to, but we're not going to have to worry about any scratches or abrasion on our factory paint.The nicest thing about these mirrors is that they are universal. more

As you can see, we have a perfect view all the way to the back in our factory mirror, though if I step out to the side, we lose that in our factory mirror but gain it in our towing mirror. This is gonna be great whenever we're driving on the highway and trying to pass vehicles or trying to park or trailer. It's fully adjustable up and down and side to side. If we remove the screw on the back, we can remove our mirror and rotate it the opposite way to change our field of view. The mirror is secured by our clamps that fit under our plastic housing and in between our mirrors. more

It's going to have four tabs at the front, and two straps on the back to hold it into place, and they won't interfere with your factory mirror so you can still change it and move it how you need to. The two straps on the back are going to have rubber coating to prevent any scratches or abrasions to the back of your factory mirror. With our clip-on towing mirror still installed we can fold in our factory mirror to get into those tight spaces. more

This is going to help you when you're changing lanes, passing vehicles, or parking. These mirrors are going to be fully adjustable, side-to-side, and top to bottom. You can also adjust it to give you a wider view, just spin the mirror around. This towing mirror is going to fit in between your factory mirror and the housing, which is still going to give you the ability to adjust your factory mirror. The rubber padding will provide a nice, snug fit that won't harm your finish. Now, this inside strap, will prevent you from folding in your mirror. more

Today on our 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan we'll be doing a test fit on the K-Source Universal Clip-On Towing Mirror, part number KS3891. It offers a wild field of view. It's going to allow us to safely and easily change lanes, pass, or park, while towing a trailer. The mirror can be adjusted to any angle, left or right, even up and down. By simply removing the screw in the back you can pull the mirror out, and rotate it vertical. It's not going to interfere with the operation of our factory mirror, and we can still fold it in. The mirror itself measures 7 3/4" long, and 5 1/8" wide. I'm here on the passenger side of the Grand Caravan, and to begin our test fit we'll first need to make sure that the tabs are all the way out like this, ready to receive the housing of the mirror. more

Today on our 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan we'll be doing a test fit on the Sepa Universal Bar towing mirror, part number CM11980. It offers us a wide field of view. It's going to allow us to safely and easily change lanes, pass or park while towing a trailer. The mirror itself can be rotated 360 degrees and can be adjusted to any angle. The rod can be adjusted out to our towing needs. Just simply loosen up this nut here, set it to the desired location, and then tighten it back up. By loosening this thumb screw back here we can adjust the mirror anywhere along the bar. more

It's going to allow us safely and easily change lanes, pass or park while towing a trailer. The mirror can be rotated three hundred and sixty degrees and can be adjusted to any angle. It's not going to interfere with the operation of our factory mirror and we can still fold it in. The mirror itself measures seven inches long by five inches wide. I'm here on the passengers side of my Grand Caravan and to begin our test fit, what we want to do, is we want to take these clips here and we want to make sure that they clip on to the inside of the housing of our factory mirror. more

Today on our 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan we'll be taking a look at the CIPA Dual-View Clip-On Towing Mirror, part number 11953. As you can see, this offers us a wide field of view in order to help us safely and easily change lanes, pass, or park while pulling a trailer. You can see me in the outer portion of the mirror, but if I step to my right, you can see me in the larger mirror. This mirror is called the dual-view because in the mirror it's got two separate sections. You got your main section here, then out here's for helping you see a little bit further out for when changing lanes. With the tow mirror installed it does not interfere with our use of the factory mirror at all. more

Today in our 2009, Dodge Ram 1500, we'll be installing the dual-view clip on towing mirror from CIPA, part number 11953. It does come with the one mirror, so if you need it for driver and passenger's side, you'll want to pick up two. All you do, flip it over, and attach it to the bottom side instead of the top side, like we show. As you see, our mirrors are a factory mirror. You can see the trailer, but if you look at our towing mirrors, it'll give you a better view farther out behind you. As you see, backing up to the trailer, it'll give you a better view of it. more

K Source Universal Clip-On Towing Mirror Installation - 2009 Dodge Ram Pickup- Video
Today on our 2009 Dodge Ram 1500, we'll be installing and taking a look at the K-Source Universal Towing Mirrors, part number KS3891. Now, this part number is for one mirror. Now, as you see, when we're backing up to our trailer, in our factory mirror, we can see the back of our truck and the front part of the trailer, but we don't have full view of our trailer when going down the road. Now, looking into the towing mirror, as you see, we have an extended view, and we can see the back end of our trailer when we're making turns, backing up our trailer, and then going down the road. And again, your factory mirror: fully functional, as you can see. It has powered mirrors, and the towing mirror does not interfere with it at all. This will also assist you when hooking up your trailer. more

K Source Universal Clip-On Towing Mirror Installation - 2000 Dodge Dakota- Video
Today on our 2000 Dodge Dakota, we're going to be doing a test fit of the K-Source Universal Towing Mirror, part number KS3891. They do have the fully adjustable mirror front lens, that's going to be about the same size as your ordinary truck lens, or vehicle, or car lens. They do also have the adjustable elbows, which adjust and accommodate to almost any size mirror. Say even your bigger, older-style vehicles that have the big mirrors, you could adjust this to where it fits sideways, to fit those vehicles as well. You can also adjust it to fit your lower, more economic, compact cars, like so, and that would hang off the vehicle. We're going to go about showing you how everything goes on, between the pivoting arms and elbows, to the straps, buckles, and clamps, that are on these. First thing we're going to want to do is slide the ledge here over our mirror ledge on this side. Some are a little more difficult than others, just because the mirror comes out farther. more

CIPA Dual-View Clip-on Towing Mirror Review - 2000 Dodge Dakota- Video
Today, on our 2000 Dodge Dakota, we are going to be doing an installation of the CIPA dual view clip-on towing mirrors, part number 11953. These mirrors are going to be fully adjustable, from the inside and outside mirrors, anything you would like to see in your peripheral view . as well, as they will have the adjustable, solid bracket on the back. So you can adjust your width, as well as the pivoting elbows. This will allow us to bring the nice rubber straps over the backside of our mirror, and clip it on tightly. You will tension these down, before you pull it over, and just make sure it's nice and secure. more

CIPA Dual-View Clip-on Towing Mirror Review - 2003 Dodge Ram Pickup- Video
Today on this 2003 Dodge Ram Pickup 1500 Series Quad Cab, we're going to install part number 11953. We have it installed on the passenger side, we'll go ahead and cover some of the features, then we'll show how to install on the driver's side. The main feature about this mirror is that it has two split mirrors, so you have one on the outside that you can maneuver for a different view from the one on the inside. This mirror fits a variety of different style of mirrors and different vehicles. We've got this track right here with teeth, which allows us to adjust the arms right here to match the height of the mirror. Also we've got pivot points top and bottom to accommodate any different angles on the mirror as well. We've got two all rubber straps that go around the mirror to hold it in place. more

K Source Universal Clip-On Towing Mirror Installation - 2011 Dodge Dakota- Video
Today on our 2011 Dodge Dakota, we're going to be doing a test fit of the K Source Universal Towing Mirro in a clip-on design, part number KS3891. With the Universal Towing Mirror installed, we do still have movement of our factory mirror. We can still move it around and it doesn't interfere with its movement. Now for the he K Source Towing Mirror itself, you will need to move that by hand. It is on a ball and socket style design so it allows you to move it in several different angles. You can also adjust it up and down depending on where exactly you want the towing mirror to be situated. We're going to first want to clean the back side of the factory mirror to make sure that there's no dirt and debris on the mirror. Next we'll go ahead and loosen up our straps by pushing in on this knob right here. more

CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors Installation - 2006 Dodge Ram Pickup- Video
Today on our 2006 Dodge Ram pickup, we'll be installing the CIPA custom towing mirrors, part number CM10700. We're already gone ahead and installed the driver's side here. Let's go over a few of the features of the CIPA custom towing mirror. Here on the front side we can just see the wedge that goes underneath and the hand knob that secure the custom towing mirror to the manufacturer's mirror. As you can see, it's really secured so it'll help prevent it from shifting, moving around or even vibrating at highway speeds. Here we have the manual mirror that will go up, down, in or out as necessary to view our towing products. Both top and bottom of the mirror are the groves that will catch the mirror to help hold it in place but still allow for the manufacturer's mirror to move and be seen as necessary. Now provided in our box is going to be the mirror, wedge and hand knob we pointed out earlier. more

Now we're here at our factory mirror here on our Dodge, and here's what the K-Source Towing Mirror looks like. This is a universal design. It just simply clamps on to your mirror, hooks in there with each of the tabs like that. The straps will come around the mirror. Now around the back side here, take the strap and come around. more
